WHEN STARTING A FAMILY DOESN'T COME EASY
Consultation and Diagnostics
During our initial consultation, we take the time to get to know your situation. We talk about further diagnostic steps and map out a therapy plan together.
The basic assessment for women includes an analysis of hormone levels in the blood, precise ultrasound diagnostics with possibly a 3D sonography, and a fallopian tube patency test. For men, we require a sperm analysis. We complement these preliminary diagnostics depending on your personal history.
The procedure is carried out in the first half of the cycle (approximately on days 8-12 of the cycle). A fine catheter is inserted into the cervix in order to gently introduce the cellulose-based contrast medium into the uterus. The administration of the contrast medium may cause a slight pulling sensation, much like menstrual discomfort. Stronger pain is not to be expected. If necessary, a pain reliever (e.g., 400 mg of Ibuprofen) can be taken in advance.
